The Wee House Company crowned winners in the 2020 Build It Awards
The Wee House Company have been crowned winners of the 2020 Build It Awards within the “Best Off-Site Manufactured House” Category. The Wee House put forward for the award is located on Baleshare, North Uist – a truly picturesque setting and a delightful Wee House.
The Wee House Company, specialists in modular construction, design and fabricate houses in their Ayrshire factory. Houses are 90% complete when they depart the factory, facilitating a significantly shorter build programme and earlier occupancy. Modular, factory construction offers many advantages over traditional building, with improvements in quality and waste reduction leading to significantly more sustainable homes. Projects range from permanent, bespoke individual houses and holiday lets to larger-scale developments, working with local authorities on affordable housing.
The Best Off-Site Manufactured House category recognises some of the UK’s leading manufacturing companies who design and build houses within a factory setting.
The annual Build It awards are all about celebrating all aspects of self-build and renovations, including completed projects, services, and suppliers. The awards bring together architects and manufacturers, as well as key industry figures in recognition of innovation and excellence in the custom and self-build home sector.
With Covid-19 restrictions preventing the finals taking place at a live event, The Wee House Company won the award during a virtual awards ceremony joined by finalist’s form across each region.
