Project Progress Update: 101 Affordable Homes for CHA

In August we announced our contract to deliver 101 Affordable Homes in Shortlees, Kilmarnock for Cunninghame Housing Assocation and we’re delighted to report that this project is progressing very well.

In the factory, construction is underway on 16 plots, inclusive of two 3-bedroom homes, two 2-bedroom homes and 8 bungalows which are now nearing completion.

For this project, we are taking a new approach to kitchen installation whereby the kitchens will arrive in our factory as modular units. Our Production Manager David Dempster is excited by this evolution, commenting. “With this new process, we can use our in-house joiners for the fit-out and the overall time spent on this element of construction is greatly reduced.”

Meanwhile on site, our Site Manager Ewan Kelly is pleased with the progress being made, with internal roads and drainage and first foundations well under way.
