Double Award Win at the 2023 Herald Property Awards
The Wee House Company is delighted to be celebrating a double win at the prestigious 2023 Herald Property Awards, having been crowned ‘Property Team of the Year’ and receiving a ‘highly commended’ accolade in the Best Family Home (Large) Category for its Caldwell View build.
The Herald Property Awards is one of the most significant events in Scotland’s property calendar and this year received a record 130 entries, then whittled down to 54 finalists.
Amongst tough competition, the family owned business was recognized for its innovative modular housing solution and exceptional services, with the judges noting that they were particularly impressed by the home builder’s attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction.
It is impressive that the Wee House Company’s ‘biggest Wee House to date’ received a highly commended accolade in the hotly contested ‘Best Family Home (Large) category. Working closely with the first-time homeowners, The Wee House Company team designed and manufactured a beautiful 4 bedroom bespoke home in Uplawmoor East Renfrewshire. The 215sq m home is complete with a stunning open plan kitchen-dining-living area, office, utility room, multiple bathrooms. Made unique with vaulted ceilings and a homely wood burning stove, this impeccable home showcases the full potential of the modular construction process and what can be achieved using The Wee House Company’s seamless turnkey service.

All Wee Houses are manufactured in modules off-site in The Wee House Company’s Ayrshire factory before being transported to site. The modules are completed to exacting quality standards in our factory with approximately 90% of works completed before transportation to site, including installations of kitchens, bathrooms, plumbing and electrics.
Building off-site is one of the most sustainable approaches in construction. The factory setting reduces waste materials are properly stored in a clean, dry and well organised environment. Off-cuts are reused as far as possible and minimal waste is segregated along with plastic and cardboard for recycling.
