A Wee House Relocated, Repurposed & Reimagined

In the summer of last year we decided that our Show Home was no longer required to support the business, and unsurprisingly it didn’t take long for us to find a loving new owner for the charming One Bedroom Wee House.

In fact, the Show Home was purchased by our very own HR & Compliance Manager, Sally Kennedy who plans to rent the property out as a hidden hideaway on the family farm.

She tells us “I have been with the Wee House Company for over 2 years but I’ve been in love with our Wee Houses since I first set eyes on them. Having previously run a self catering business on farm, I could see the potential to invest by offering a unique place for couples to stay. The ideal site was a hidden corner that housed a former cattle byre and sheep dipper and so the name of the new accommodation came easily – Wee Dipper Cottage!”

Following completion of groundworks preparation, Sally’s Holiday Home project took a major step forward last week when it was split and moved 8.5 miles across Ayrshire from Fisherton to Lyonston. See the action unfold in this short video:

In the coming weeks Sally will be looking to get the property in Maybole, Ayrshire spruced up and ready to launch. She hopes to host the first guests at The Wee Dipper Cottage on Easter weekend. “My family and I are delighted to be re-entering the tourism market at an exciting time for Maybole and Ayrshire. Providing the perfect place to explore the South West of Scotland we want to give couples a taste of country living Wee House style.”
