Customer Story: Building Daryl & Heather’s 215 sq m Forever Home
We have just started building our biggest Wee House to date, a bespoke 4 bedroom home measuring an impressive 215sq m.
The lucky owners of this Wee House are young couple Daryl and Heather. Working in a hands-on role in his family run plant nursery business, Daryl needs to be based close by, and so it is on this 50 acre plot of land that their dream house is being built.
It was actually Daryl’s mum who first spotted and fell in love with a Wee House built on the Isle of Arran and she suggested the couple get in touch.
Heather tells us, “We were impressed by the Wee House Company from the get go. Nothing was ever too much hassle, even before we had signed a contract. We’ve been so happy with the journey so far, and the support we’ve had. It has always felt like a ‘partnership’ and very personal to us rather than it just being another sale to the business.”
With so many enviable features, it’s difficult for Daryl and Heather to choose which element they are most excited by. Daryl is looking forward to having his own office space, while naturally Heather is delighted that she will soon have a walk in wardrobe a la Carrie Bradshaw!
The couple are also looking forward to spending time in the open plan living / kitchen and dining space, where the wood burning stove will be a focal point. Daryl explains “For me, the wood burning stove is iconic to the Wee House look and we just had to have one. With the sound and the smell, you just can’t beat it.”
