Green light for feasibility and planning for affordable housing project at Lismore

Lismore Community Trust is delighted to have appointed Connect Modular, part of The Wee House Group, to take forward the design and subsequently produce and submit a planning application for two affordable modular homes on the Isle of Lismore.

This ambitious project should see construction of two houses at the end of Newfield Terrace, Achnacroish.   These family homes will then be offered with secure tenancies to those in housing need. Rents will be affordable and the houses will be economical to heat.

Delivering affordable long-term rental homes will have a real positive impact for the local community on Lismore. The need for more houses to increase the population and bring greater security to key lifeline services like the school and shop has been a long-standing desire of the community. A recent ballot of residents identified 90% in favour of this initiative and the Community Trust Board are delighted to be working with The Wee House Group to deliver the houses.
